What Is Pasteurization?
Pasteurization is the process of heating food to a specific temperature for a certain length of time and then cooling the object right after the heating process.
What Is Raw Milk?
Raw milk is milk that is not pasteurized or homogenized. While some people claim there are benefits to drinking raw milk, the medical community has warnings about it. Drinking raw milk can result in disease and other health issues. In Canada and many other countries it is mandatory for all raw milk to go through pasteurization before being sold, to ensure the safety of the milk.
This image shows that all the red colored states don't allow for raw milk to be sold because of all the harmful disease and bacteria that are in the raw milk.
